football food

sometimes it just seems right to have an unhealthy meal.

monday night football when the packers are playing is one of those times!

brad has been suggesting i make creamy buffalo chicken crisps again ever since i made them the first time and last night i finally came through.

i followed exactly the same steps as last time and got an equally delicious result!

we had sweet potato fries on the side.

mine were dripping with ketchup and horseradish sauce, of course.

yeah, not a super healthy meal.

it was delicious though! i ate pretty well during the day, so i didn’t really feel very guilty about that meal.

something else was calling to me from the freezer after dinner though…

girl scout cookies!

our lab manager’s adorable daughter was selling cookies, so of course i had to get some! i got one each of our three favorites: thin mints, tagalongs (which apparently aren’t called tagalongs anymore), and samoas (which are also not called samoas anymore i guess….).

the thin mints went right into the freezer and i enjoyed a serving of them for dessert!

yum. just as delicious as i remembered!

i was so productive yesterday! i think setting realistic goals really helps me. usually i would write down everything i wanted to get done and it would be impossible to actually do it all, so i’d feel frustrated. lately, i’ve been aiming a bit lower, being more productive than usual, and feeling great about it! Smile

applying that attitude to my workouts has also helped! with my 20 minutes rule, it doesn’t seem so daunting and is easier to “just do it”. yesterday i ended up doing random walk/jog intervals on the treadmill for 3o minutes and 2.5 miles!

i’m going to try to have the same kind of day today!

do you watch monday night football?

we usually have it on in the background, but i really only pay attention when the packers play!
