good morning everyone! hope you all are having a great saturday morning so far! i sure am.
i got to sleep in! don’t worry, i didn’t snooze my alarm. i just didn’t set one! i got up at a glorious 7am. and then i realized that i feel so old or strange or something because getting up at 7am is seriously sleeping in to me compared to my normal 5:15am wake up.
i got to spend a little time with my love this morning before he went to work. we snuggled on the couch enjoying a big old mug of coffee (and watching sports center… *sigh*).
and capone enjoyed our little family time this morning too!
he pulled out half of his toys and then got comfortable chewing away at a marrow bone.
i know it seems like such a little thing, but taking a relaxing morning and not rushing to get up and get things done really makes me feel refreshed and ready for the day! usually in the mornings, i’m up and showered and sometimes even out the door just as brad is getting up, so we’re both rush-rush-rush the whole time we’re at home in the morning. today was a nice change!
now that i’m all ready for the day, i should probably get things started.
on my plans for the morning:
- do a quick clean of the apartment (i hate leaving for a night with it being messy!)
- pack up the car with our camping things
- pack for the night
- take capone for a long walk so he’s ready to sleep on our whole 3 hour drive
all of that while listening to some bluegrass music to get in the mood! as soon as brad gets home from work, we’re heading up north to join my parents and some of their friends at a bluegrass festival i’m so so so excited! i know i told you before that brad plays the violin really well, but he also taught himself to play the mandolin, so we’re bringing his along for the trip. i hope he plays for us!!
i think it’ll be a fun night! we’ve been looking forward to this festival for a while now.
i’ll be back tomorrow with another wedding recap!
what are your plans for the weekend?
of course, we’re getting up bright and early tomorrow so we make it back to madison in time for the packers game! hooray football season!
