last week i checked another item off my 101 in 1001 list.
number 79 is “make soft pretzels” and now it’s done!
on wednesday night, i was trying to think of something to do when i visited julie’s blog and started looking through her recipes. as soon as i saw the soft pretzels, i remembered my list and decided to go for it!
i busted out my stand mixer.
forced myself to get over my fear of yeast.
(it was my first time ever baking with yeast!)
and got to work.
i just followed julie’s recipe for plain, homemade soft pretzels.
seriously, it was so easy! the step-by-step directions were really clear and i wasn’t even nervous.
i followed the recipe exactly except that i didn’t have sea salt, i just used regular table salt to sprinkle on top.
i also sprinkled half of the pretzels with garlic gold nuggets, basil, and oregano!
they are so tasty! i can’t wait to make more. 🙂
