an exciting afternoon

hey everyone! guess what? were in the single digits – 9 days!!! time is just flying by this week!

yesterday i had quite the exciting afternoon (once i finished work, of course!).

first, i made a pit stop on my way home…

to pick up my ring from the jeweler! 🙂 we got my engagement ring and wedding band soldered together before the wedding so i can just wear it right away after.

then i came home to a stack of boxes waiting for me outside our door!

we got wedding presents! [a sleeping bag, air mattress, and lantern for camping and an awesome cast iron wok! me like.]

i was working on wedding stuff and not really feeling like making dinner, so i waited until brad got home from work at 7:30 and we threw together an awesome meal together!

we used corn tortillas as the base, spread some refried beans on them, added shredded cheese, and a mix of sauteed veggies and shredded chicken. then we topped them with some homemade salsa from a friend. we also had a salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, cottage cheese, and a sprinkle of feta. it was delicious!

and then i caught a movie of our silly puppy trying to get his ball out from under the couch.

seriously, if you need your day brightened, watch this!

oh capone…

today i’ve got a ton of stuff to check off my list so i’m going to get going! 🙂

did anything exciting happen to you yesterday?

now that we have a wok, what should we make in it?!

  1. your ring is gorgeous!! congrats and good luck on the upcoming wedding 🙂

  2. The most exciting thing that happened was a customer left some Ben & Jerry’s Fro-Yo (chocolate brownie) out of the freezer and we found it where it had started to melt, but not completely. It was considered “damaged” however, and my co-worker came over to me with a spoon and said, “You should probably taste this before it goes into the damaged freezer.”

And I did. I did taste it. Yum. 🙂

i would absolutely be excited by that too. and then i’d start randomly leaving treats like that out and blaming it on customers so i could have a taste more often! 🙂

  3. What a gorgeous ring! It is so different and very shiny.

  4. Pretty ring! Looks like a lot of bling! 🙂

  5. weeee!!! your ring looks just like mine. love it 🙂
