same old same old

it’s friday, friday….!!

woop woop! the end of the work week always excites me, but i’m extra pumped today because as soon as the kids leave the garden at noon, liz, brad, and i are hopping in the car and road tripping up to northern wisconsin for my best friend’s wedding! ๐Ÿ™‚

liz is also really good friends with kelly, the bride, and brad has become good friends with pete, the groom, so we’re all in the bridal party! it’s going to be so much fun. then, we have another wedding on sunday afternoon. a family friend that i’ve known since the womb is getting married too!

it’s going to be a busy wedding weekend, so today’s post is going to be quick because i need to finish packing before i leave for work!

yesterday i had my same old same old breakfast….with a twist!

it was in a jar! ๐Ÿ™‚ and my same old same old coffee….also with a twist.

it was fun to change things up a bit yesterday. ๐Ÿ™‚ i’m sipping on iced coffee this morning too.

lunch was a little bit more of this…

(a slice of french bread with garlic scape pesto, tomato, basil, and mozzarella) and a small piece of enchilada.

and dinner was a delicious feast of leftovers!

that’s leftover bok choi, leftover carrot fries, a massive lettuce salad (had a head from the garden that i needed to eat before we left for the weekend), and a couple pickles with ham (it’s delicious, trust me!).

brad wasn’t feeling leftovers, so he whipped up his own breakfast for dinner.

he made a massive omelette with mushrooms, shredded chicken, spinach, and cheese with a side of potatoes and a glass of orange juice!

his & hers dinners. ๐Ÿ™‚

pickles and ham?

pickles and cheese?

better yet, pickles with ham & cheese?

what’s your favorite “weird” combination of foods?

  1. Happy Weekend!
Yum, I’m a big fan of breakfast for dinner! Even if it’s cereal! :p
My favorite “weird” food combo is syrup on scrambled eggs, salted. YUM.

  2. Pickles and ham sounds pretty good! My husband loves dinners like that, where he has a little bit of everything in the fridge.

  3. have fun this weekend! tell brad i want him to make me an omelet!!

You have quite the full social calendar. I love weddings! I had an omelet with cream cheese and jam in it once- that was pretty weird but totally delicious. I love dill pickles with pretty much anything.
