today brad was a spoiled boy and i was a sugar momma!
but first, breakfast was more oats at home. we were bad and “borrowed” a banana and some frozen fruit from one of brad’s roommates. what can i say? i like getting in two servings of fruit in my breakfasts and brad didn’t have any! 🙂 it’s ok though…his roommate doesn’t mind!
after breakfast we headed to brad’s clinic and i got an adjustment. then he saw other patients while i went to target and did a little shopping!
then, we got lunch with my aunt, uncle, and cousins at trailhead brewery co in st. charles. i’ve been there a couple times before. they’re a microbrewery, so that’s always fun! i didn’t get any beer today though. i just had a huge salad with grilled chicken for lunch.

dinner is where the sugar momma part comes in… i had another restaurant.com coupon to use up this weekend! this one was for haveli, an indian restaurant. i love indian food, but brad had never been to an indian restaurant! he was pretty nervous about it tonight. his impression was that it was going to be stinky. haha, silly boy.
since we had $35 to spend, we got garlic paneer naan and tika aloo (i think!) to start in addition to the crispy bread and two dipping sauces they bring out to begin the meal.
for my actual meal, i got sahi paneer and brad got lamb vindaloo. we both got them made spicy! *yeah, the sahi paneer is on the most photogenic dish*
the food was great and we have a LOT of leftovers to eat tomorrow! i know some people really don’t like to have leftovers, but i love it! one less meal i have to cook…. brad also gave it two thumbs up! good thing bc i have another coupon for an indian restaurant in madison! 🙂

the sugar momma theme continued after dinner. we went to the chesterfield mall and brad picked out a birthday and graduation present! (his 26th birthday is next week!)
a stupid video game for his birthday….
and a new shirt + tie for his graduation present. i love the new tie! i can’t wait for him to wear it.

to repay me for spoiling him, brad treated me to frozen yogurt! i think i saw about 5 blogs today with ice cream or frozen yogurt that made me crave it so badly! i knew that my mission tonight was to get some for myself!
i had eurotart yogurt with a little blueberry and raspberry yogurt. i got a little crazy with toppings. i added: strawberries, blueberries, black berries, raspberries, kiwi, granola, sprinkles, and oreos!
it was perfect. 🙂

i can’t believe i have to back to madison already tomorrow. i hate short weekends…. oh well, at least it was a pretty good one!
That naan looks FABulous!
I love Butterfingers on my ice cream – mmm! 🙂
brad got butterfingers on his froyo! his whole dish was chocolate!
Now I’m craving Indian food!! I already wolfed down some ice cream so I’ll crave your food now! I do love that tie! I love Ryan in ties. Since he’s a gardener he doesn’t have to dress up often but when he does…ooooooooE I love it! Thank you for your support on my latest post….I really appreciate it. 🙂
reading others’ blogs ALWAYS makes me crave various foods! sorry i passed it on to you….
brad has to wear a shirt and tie pretty much every day – i love seeing him dressed up too! i, on the other hand, never get dressed up. i always feel underdressed if we go out after he’s done with work bc he’ll be in shirt+tie and i’ll be in jeans+sweatshirt… lol.
I love that tie too. You are a very nice sugar momma haha!
haha, thanks meri! i think so too!
mmm Indian food! So glad your fiance like it 🙂 My boyfriend tried Indian food for the first time with me too, and now he is hooked! I craves it more than I do lol
**He craves it more than I do!
i’m not sure if brad could ever love indian more than i do – i can’t get enough – but i’m really happy that he likes it so now i have a partner in crime!
The tie is amazing! I was craving frozen yogurt all day too, I am with you about it just being posted everywhere.
isn’t it funny how the blog world does that to you? already this morning i’m craving pb&co’s cinnamon raisin swirl pb, which we don’t have, of course. lol…i don’t think i’m going to go get some before breakfast though…
i just had blackberry frozen yogurt that was SO good! my 26th bday is next week also. i’d like to go pick out my present soon 🙂 and brett LOVES lamb vindaloo!
mmm, blackberry sounds delicious!
you’re turning 26 too?!? you and brad are twinsies!
oh, I’ve been hard-core craving fro yo lately! Then all the sudden our weather took a change for the the COLDER and our 90 degree days have been traded in for 30 something degree days! Yikes! Not exactly conducive to cold desserts!
oh no! 😦 that stinks! i wish it wasn’t quite so hot here, but i’d be pretty upset if it went back down to 30’s again.
I love buying ties for Billy! It’s rare because he doesn’t have to be formal for work, but I think it’s fun to pick out a new one every now and then. When I make banana soft-serve at home, I love to add in chocolate chips or top it with granola/cereal. Delish.
oh yum! granola topping sounds awesome on banana soft serve!
sarah can you come be my sugar momma next? puhhhlllleeeeease!!!! 😉
hahaha, i think i need someone to be my sugar momma (or daddy) now! 🙂 you’re next on my list though dahhhhling!
Wow, I feel like we had an almost identical weekend! Frozen yogurt Friday night (I almost went again last night), and I had Trailhead today for lunch. Well, more of a snack for me as we only split an order of pretzels. Trailhead is one of my absolute favorites, but I’m sad I can’t drink their beer right now! Where is that Indian place? Matt + I have never had Indian food and need a good STL suggestion for some (we only have Thai places in O’Fallon, for some reason). Have a safe trip back today!
haha, i just realized that brad and i had gelato friday, fro-yo saturday, and ice cream today! eeesh, i better lay off!
mmm, i do love trailhead! it’s one of the places i’ll definitely miss after brad graduates.
haveli’s (the indian place) is on page right near 170. it was pretty good…i’d say it’s about a 6.5/10 when i compare it to my favorite place in madison (which i give a 10/10). but it’s still good! i don’t know any other indian places in st. louis to compare it to though…
I am so hungry looking at all the food pics! You are so sweet to drive to Brad every weekend!! Have a safe trip back!
thanks priyanka! i may be sweet to visit him, but i also am helping him get adjustments so he graduates on time – so it’s a little selfish too! 🙂
Looks like Brad had an awesome birthday! Happy bday to him! 🙂
My favorite frozen yogurt toppings? I guess when I go out, I don’t order frozen yogurt, I go all in & get the icecream! BadBadBad!!!
hahaha, it’s not bad to go all out and get ice cream! i don’t choose fro-yo because it’s “healthier” (and let’s face it, with all the toppings i load on, it’s not healthier!), i just honestly prefer it over ice cream!
